Clare S. Vazin, CPA, MsTax, MSIRE
Tax & Accounting Principal
Clare Vazin is a Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience spanning tax, full-scale accounting, and specialized nonprofit sector compliance. She holds a Master's degree in Taxation and a Master's in International Real Estate, a unique combination that allows her to navigate complex financial landscapes.
Beyond her work with small businesses and diverse corporate and partnership entities, Clare specializes in nonprofit accounting and tax-exempt entity compliance, ensuring organizations meet rigorous regulatory standards while maximizing their community impact. Committed to community leadership, she has served on the board of B.I.A.N.C.A. (Be Involved. Act Now. Champion Autism, Inc.), a San Diego-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and currently serves as a community tax advisor for Hera Hub, a Certified Public Benefit Corporation that supports women entrepreneurs.
Clare lives in San Marcos, CA, and is the proud mother of two boys, Cyrus and Maisam. In her free time, she loves supporting her sons' many interests and traveling with them for their martial arts competitions.
Rebecca M. Williams, EA
Tax Director
Rebecca Williams is an Enrolled Agent and has worked in public accounting since 2007, serving clients across the country with a focus on clarity, integrity, and long‑term partnership. Her experience spans small businesses, large corporations, and ultra‑high‑net‑worth families, with specialized expertise in passthrough entities, real‑estate‑focused companies, and complex multi‑family‑owned groups. Although based in North Carolina, Rebecca has supported clients from California, Hawaii, and many places in between for the majority of her career.
Rebecca is deeply committed to community service and nonprofit engagement. She serves on the Board of Directors for The Uisge Foundation and is the Treasurer and a Board Member for Corvettes of Sandhills. Within her local church, she serves on a standing committee and is preparing to step into leadership of a long‑standing small group, continuing the work of its prior leader after 21 years of service.
Her commitment to youth, education, and community wellness extends through sponsorships with her local PTA, local First Tee, and Racing for ALS, where she and her family have been involved for several years.
Rebecca lives in West End, NC, with her husband, Zach, and their daughter, Laneya. She enjoys caring for her animals, gardening, crocheting, and cooking. After spending most of her life in the Arizona desert, she still finds joy in stepping outside to appreciate the vibrant life and fresh air among the Carolina pines.

Firm Administrator
Cora Tran has been a dedicated professional in public accounting, working with Jeff Hughes since 2019. At Vazin & Williams, she plays a crucial role in managing the firm's day-to-day operations, including client management, billing, and payments.
Cora lives in San Diego, CA with her three children. In her spare time, she loves reading and taking coastal walks. Recently, she has discovered a new hobby in boxing, which she enjoys for its health benefits.
Karen Watson
Senior Tax Manager
Karen Watson has been a tax professional since 2015, focusing primarily on preparing individual tax returns for clients with multiple pass-through entities, investments, rentals and exchanges. Prior to working in the tax field, Karen held various positions in finance and real estate.
Karen lives in Indian Rocks Beach, FL and enjoys morning beach walks, evening sunsets and creating resin tables and wall hangings with the shells and shark teeth she finds on her excursions.
