Tax Principal

Clare Vazin is a Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience in both tax and accounting. She holds a Master's degree in Taxation and a Master's in International Real Estate, enabling her to navigate complex tax scenarios and provide specialized advice, particularly in real estate taxation and small business operations. Clare enjoys working closely with small businesses and is a versatile advisor with experience across various entity types.

Clare lives in San Marcos, CA, and is a mom of two boys, Cyrus and Maisam. In her free time, she loves spending quality time with her boys, supporting their artistic endeavors, and traveling for their martial arts competitions.

Rebecca M. Williams, EA

Tax Director

Rebecca Williams is an Enrolled Agent who has been in public accounting since 2007. She has collaborated with clients from various industries, including small businesses, large corporations, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals. Rebecca enjoys working on passthrough entities, real estate-focused companies, and complex multi-family-owned groups. While based in North Carolina, she has served clients from California, Hawaii, and everywhere in between.

Rebecca lives in West End, NC, with her husband, Zach, and their daughter Laneya. She enjoys taking care of her animals, gardening, and cooking. After spending most of her life in the Arizona desert, she often sneaks outside to savor the vibrant life and beautiful weather among the Pines.

Cora Tran

Firm Administrator

Cora Tran has been a dedicated professional in public accounting, working with Jeff Hughes since 2019. At Vazin & Williams, she plays a crucial role in managing the firm's day-to-day operations, including client management, billing, and payments.

Cora lives in San Diego with her three children. In her spare time, she loves reading and taking coastal walks. Recently, she has discovered a new hobby in boxing, which she enjoys for its health benefits.

Karen Watson

Senior Tax Manager

Karen Watson has been a tax professional since 2015, focusing primarily on preparing individual tax returns for clients with multiple pass-through entities, investments, rentals and exchanges. Prior to working in the tax field, Karen held various positions in finance and real estate.
